Originally commissioned by a Mumbai-based theatre company for a festival at the National Centre for Performing Arts

the theatre company withdrew and chose not to pay me after they got me to write the play, although it wasn't performed. 

i think this is important to put out there: the bullet points on our (artist's) CVs are real processes that involve work, time, being undervalued and sometimes shamed for wanting to be remunerated for one's efforts.
